Dr. Sushma V. Murthy is Associate Professor at Department of English, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and teaches Gender Studies, Postcolonial and World Literatures, Cultural Studies and British Literature. She was affiliated to University of Montreal under the Shastri Doctoral Research Fellowship in 2007-08 and secured a doctoral degree in 2014 for her dissertation “The Burnished Phoenix: Lesbian Aesthetics in the Works of Nicole Brossard”, from University of Mysore.
